Heartsaver CPR/AED

Course Description

The Heartsaver AED Course is designed to provide CPR and AED training for designated first responders, individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements and select departments or an entire workplace the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Course Content

  • Adult, child rescue breathing
  • Adult, child CPR/AED – 1 Rescuer
  • Adult, child CPR/AED – 2 Rescuers
  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Adult, child relief of choking
  • Adult, child relief of choking
  • Adult, child bag-mask use• Infant rescue breathing
  • Infant CPR
  • Infant relief of choking
  • Infant bag-mask use

Course Length

Approximately 3 hours

Intended Audience:

Designated first responders, individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements and select departments or an entire workplace. Heartsaver AED is required for personal trainers as well as any individual that has contact or the ability to provide CPR and obtain an AED unit.  

Card Type

The American Heart Association Heartsaver AED Course Completion Card is valid for two years.In the classroom, students engage in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA instructor to complete their skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam. Cards are given out at the conclusion of calss.

Fee:

The two year certification is $50, check or cash is accepted at day of class. Manuals are included with registration fee and provided at class.
